About La Quinta
La Quinta is located in Riverside County in Coachella Valley between Indian Wells and Indio.  About 24,000 residents call the "Gem of the Desert" home, making it one of the fastest-growing cities in California. The geography also provides stunning features of the Santa Rosa Mountains.  The population is diverse and spread out with a low population density of 1,207 people per square mile. Recreation
The city is known and named for the La Quinta Resort and Club, which dates back to 1926.  Outside of notable spas and luxury, there is much else offered as well. Elsewhere in the city, there are plenty of opportunities for recreation such as hiking among the Santa Rosa Mountains, biking along the Bear Creek Trail and more.
